Photos of the weekend #10 / 20 x ANZAC Bridge in Sydney, Australia
Hi everyone!
Holiday in Sydney is over but I have a zillion pics to post.
Anzac bridge was huge and beautiful…I took several pics of it….
•
ANZAC Bridge was given its current name on Remembrance Day in 1998
to honour the memory of the soldiers of
the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC)
who served in World War I.
An Australian Flag flies atop the eastern pylon and
a New Zealand Flag flies atop the western pylon.

Am losing track of your pictures (something odd about links). Are you back in Helsinki for good now or is it a temporary rest – then off to somewhere else again?
Lucy
I had technical problems but finally the new post is published.
Back in Helsinki to stay for good now.
I haven’t permanently blogged from Finland, do I find material enough to blog from here….we’ll see 🙂
Loved seeing these pictures. Hope to come someday to Sydney someday in the near future!

Isn’t Sydney an amazing city. I only spent two days there, prior to a cruise seventeen years ago but I packed every minute full ( when I wasn’t sitting and dining on the Quay, across from the Opera House an drinking some of the Aussie’s fabulous wines ).
The bridge pictures are great, some almost dizzying!!

Looks like you had a beautiful day for photos. I love the last shot, it really gives me a sense of vertigo, great lines and angles.
I really like your shots of the steel cables on the bridge.
What a gorgeous bridge! And your photos are fantastic! Love your varied composition that give us different views of the bridge. And what wonderful shadows for the day! Enjoy your weekend!!

This bridge is outstanding! The cables have a geometric view, some of them arranged like the colors of light emanating from the towers like a prism. Though designed for function, the ANZAC is truly an engineered beauty!
I agree, that bridge is impressive and massive and beautiful!
Impressive shots, BLOGitse. That bridge is truly beautiful.
