I was lucky to have camera with me on 28th of January at 8:34 am….

The sky was soooo beautiful!

We saw a lot last weekend with our friends from Sweden.

A travelling exhibition about European identity and today’s Europe.

We had lunch at Restaurant Loiste. Do you remember this place?

In the evening we visited first time in the brand new Helsinki Music Centre.

It wasn’t a good idea to visit this Hotel Katajanokka‘s speciality before the concert in the evening…

This hotel used to be a prison…

Visiting this cell and listening horrible music made my friend feel so bad at the concert that

she almost got a heart attack.

I got terrible pain in my head.

Like someone was slowly tightening a metal band around my head.

Never again contemporary music! I like happy/peaceful music!

It’s difficult to walk, drive…roads are slippery under the snow.

Imagine old people whose balance and walking abilities are not that good anymore, sigh.

I’m trying to learn how to draw eyes.

I cut these eyes from a magazine and tried to copy them with a  soft pencil.

Huh, not easy but I’m not giving up.

More coming later!

It’s dark outside.

In Helsinki we have daylight from 9:15 am till 3:15 pm.

At the end of the month from 9:25 am till 3:30 pm.

31st of December is the first longer day – 9:24 am till 15:22 pm.

Extra light needed.

We have LED candles on day and night!

Nice shadows, right?!

Starting this year 8th of December was a Flag Day to honor

birthday (8.12.1865) of composer Jean Sibelius and the Day of Finnish Music.

I loooove Sibelius’s music.

Finlandia is long (about 8 minutes) but worth every second.

I love music, art, theater, dance…

This autumn has been inspiring. I’ve learned a lot about painting, colors and different mediums.

I like acrylic paints, watercolors, Chinese ink and galligraphy brushes are also interesting.

Or acrylic crayons. Add a drop of water and the picture is totally different!
