is composer Jean Sibelius‘s day
(8.12.1865 – 20.9.1057)
I love his music.
Finlandia Hymn is mostly sung in Finnish but
these guys sing it quite well in English, right?
There are lots of versions of this piece also called ‘A Song of Peace’.
The other day I visited HAMHelsinki
Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition made me feel good.
I enjoyed everything: her art, books and film about her,
and most of all bright colors and those million dots.
and last but not least 🙂
just abstract ink and gouache strokes
Have a relaxing weekend!
International Women’s Day 2016:
A Message by UN Women’s Executive Director
Dona Nobis Pacem – Grant Us Peace 4.11.2010
THANK YOU ALL!
I want to extend my warmest and most sincere “thank YOU”,
to all of you, as you have been taking part in my struggle for achieving justice for my rights to my pictures.
Recent events have taught me so much about publishing but even more how much a vivid and supportive network means for a blogger!
Your comments and support has been the key to keep me going.
Another learning is that one needs to be persistent to succeed…and with a support like this – it’s possible!
ps. ps. Is Chris Brogan familiar to you? If not, hop, hop you go to read his article!
The Nobel Peace Prize for 2008
“The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2008 to Martti Ahtisaari for his important efforts, on several continents and over more than three decades, to resolve international conflicts. These efforts have contributed to a more peaceful world and to “fraternity between nations” in Alfred Nobel’s spirit.”
