One year after…
Vuoden jälkeen…
10.6.2010 was one year after my breast cancer surgery.
I had my check up 7.6.2010 and got the results today: 
CLEAN! 
and all my blood test results are good too!
Now I have one year for the next mammography. 
I have a 5 years follow-up here in Helsinki, Syöpätautien klinikka…

On Saturday 10.10.09 it was 4 months from my breast cancer surgery.

Two months after the surgery / Kaksi kuukautta leikkauksen jälkeen

3 months after the surgery. This was taken 11.9.09 otettu kuva, 3 kk leikkauksesta

Here you can see how they mark the area for booster radiation shots. That small black spot is tattooed on my skin. I have 3 of them – one on each breast and one in the middle of the chest. They marked the area for radiation. That violet marked area was for the radiation boosters.

I got 16 for the whole breast area and 6 treatments only for that marked booster area.

Tuo ympyröity piste on tatuoitu ihoon. Niitä on yksi molemmissa rinnoissa ja yksi keskellä rintoja. Niiden mukaan sädehoidon alue määriteltiin jokaisella hoitokerralla. Tuo violetilla merkitty alue oli tehostesädetystä vain tuolle alueelle.

Minä sain hoitoja koko rinnan alueelle 16 kertaa ja 6 noita ”tehoiskuja”.

As you see the scars are healed beautifully! But my skin ‘sun burned’ from the radiation therapy. The nipple was really burned and very sensitive but it’s getting better day by day. The tattoo(s) will stay…

Kuten näkyy on haavat parantuneet tosi hyvin. Mutta ihoni ”aurinkopaloi” sädehoidosta. En saa ottaa siihen aurinkoa ennen ensi kesää. Nänni oli kaikista herkin ja palanein mutta sekin on jo parempaan päin.

Wau, miten aika lentää! Ja tekee tehtävänsä! Varsinkin kun vertaa tätä kuvaa noihin uusimpiin – eikö ero ole aikamoinen?! Mahtava sanoisin ja sanonkin!

today 6 weeks ago… tänään 6 viikkoa sitten…

today 6 weeks ago was ‘day after’ from my breast cancer operation…
time flies – ONLY 6 weeks? and I feel ‘like normal’…I mean I can do everything, even lie on my left side…and swim etc.

Isn’t if funny how the sausage from the armpit has disappeared!? that picture was taken 8 days after…

tänään 6 viikkoa sitten oli päivä rintasyöpäleikkauksen jälkeen…
miten aika meneekään nopeasti – VAIN 6 viikkoa? ja tuntuu melko normaalilta…tarkoitan, että voin tehdä kaikkea, jopa maata vasemmalla puolella…ja uida jne.

Eikö ole hassua, että tuo kainalon makkara lopulta katosi?! kuva otettu 8 päivää leikkauksen jälkeen…ja turvotus on aikamoinen!
