ho-ho-holiday…summer holiday

Thursday, July 6th, 2017

will start on Monday…

I’ll be offline until September, yes!

It will be traveling, a painting course, hopefully more

sun and warmer days!

We eat oatmeal porridge every morning –

our tummies are happy! 🙂

I’ll be back after oat threshing here in Finland.

playing with acrylics…

Friday, June 30th, 2017

This summer has been weird.

Some nice, sunny days and next hard wind,

rain…right now we have a storm in Southern Finland!

I played with acrylics this week.

These two are just quick strokes, whoosh, whoosh…

Sibelius, Kusama and me

Thursday, December 8th, 2016

8.12.2016

is composer Jean Sibelius‘s day

(8.12.1865 – 20.9.1057)

I love his music.

Finlandia Hymn is mostly sung in Finnish but

these guys sing it quite well in English, right?

There are lots of versions of this piece also called ‘A Song of Peace’.

The other day I visited HAMHelsinki

Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition made me feel good.

I enjoyed everything: her art, books and film about her,

and most of all bright colors and those million dots.

Thursday, August 28th, 2014

Helsinki Festival 2014 has been full of happenings.

We visited a temporary hotel room.

Havis Amanda fountain has been hidden inside this room.

People were taking lots of selfies –  here too…
