I played with water soluble wax pastels.
Here’s what I did in my sketch book.
PAINT PARTY FRIDAY
Do you see something in this? (I don’t!) What would you call it?
Last weekend I posted art in EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art.
I’m sure you want to see more!
Jaakko Mattila (1976) is a very patient guy
or he has a machine to paint this kind of art. 🙂
In Jaakko’s blog HERE you can see more of his art – tell me what you think of his works.
ps. I like most of them…
BLUE, RED and YELLOW by Jaakko Mattila
Art without shadows
would not be perfect…. 🙂

Have a relaxing weekend!

There’s a lady standing in a blue doorway on the left and a creature with a long pointed nose and wild hair on the right who is looking at the lady. There are hints of archways, doorways and alleys.
It’s a super page, good combinations of shapes and colours.
Your watercolor pastels-I would call it “Street Scene”. Very nice!
Very lovely, best regard from Belgium
I’d refer to your work as ‘Urban Explosion’ as I see buildings, windows and an energetic crowd – the energy of the bold colors is very cool!
Your artwork draws me in (no pun intended) to a magical, impressionistic world!
I’d call it “Window View” Looks like a street scape from a window view! Thanks for sharing!

I love your oil pastel work – I would call the finished one ‘Townscape seen through a rainy café window’. Love Jaako’s works! Hugs, Valerie
ooooh, what a name, much better than my painting! 🙂
