my summer 2013 images part 8.
I think this idea is genius – fake windows, walls,
to hide what is still under construction.
Have you seen this kind of idea somewhere?
Have a relaxing weekend!

I love it. I vaguely remember seeing something like this before, but my mind could be playing tricks on me.
I think this is such a great idea– cleaning up a construction site makes the job and neighborhood so much nicer.
I’ve seen it once in Los Angeles– A wall of blue morning glories. It was so lovely.

How very unusual!
That is quite ingenious. Great shots by the way. The artistic way they have hidden the construction really makes me want to see how the building looks when construction is finished.
Have a wonderful week.
I have seen windows with people painted in them however I have not seen fake buildings. A clever idea!
I have seen things like this before, in central London they have done similar things on large construction

I have seen it. It looks so real from a distance. Recently a new restaurant opened up. All the windows and doors have this in them to make them look English and beautiful when it is really quite plain. Here is a photo: http://4jeanniemaries.blogspot.com/2013/09/lunch-at-brits.html
What a creative idea – never seen the like!
A stroke of genius. For once, a false, temporary facade is appealing to the eye.
nothing that clever around here…tarps to hide construction orange, clear or blue. i like yours much better!!! happy weekend!!!
No, I haven’t! But, I agree with you-it is genius! And, why hasn’t it been thought of years ago? It’s so simple.
What a great idea! I do agree with Ralph — the fake windows do allow the building to “live” and that’s great for the neighborhood!!
Absolutely stunning shots!
Happy weekend.

How clever – a windowless building almost feels as if it has no soul and keeps out the light. Yet, the artistic (if fake) windows here allow the building to live, and makes all the structures feel like neighbors…nice!
Great buildings
