weekend #35 photos
In Finland some people wash their carpets every summer.
I googled ‘mattopyykillä’ (washing carpets) – almost 3.000 pictures here.
Clean carpet shadows 🙂
Have a relaxing weekend!

Hi Blogitse! It has been a long absence, but things have been a bit hard: father 95, mother almost 91 doing radiotherapy, wife broke right elbow and I’m consuming some much needed holidays to take care of all this…
Just some carpet washing to be the cherry on top… 😉
As far as Blogtrotter Two is concerned, it seems nobody is interested in St. Kitts, so maybe I should try something else. Anyhow, enjoy and have a great week or better a vacation, if still available!!!
Ah, I love the coloring in the first photo! 🙂 Lovely pics! I would have enjoyed watching that!
Have a great week ahead!
wow…so many carpets!
I assume the carpet washing is done in fresh water, not the sea, right? Love the last shot espec.
–What a FABulous place to live!!
You no idea how much I love these images. Actually, last night, I thought that it was time to clean the carpet inside my living room. I don’t have a beach nearby, but that’s okay.
That really is something I don’t get to see where I live. Thank you for sharing.
You have made carpet cleaning look beautiful! I especially like the third photo — the bright colors against the grey blue water and light blue sky.
Happy Sunday!

Wow… what an interesting tradition!
Heippa my friend.
This is so cool. Finns are ready for winter, huh? Yeah… we really need to pamper carpets too.
Great shots as usual.
Happy SSS.

Quite fascinating all around.
That last shot is wonderful. I remember my grandmother beating her rugs outside on her clothes line.
Any chance you can come and clean our carpets too?
Have a great week.
love that last shot – how fascinating!
A great way to wash the rugs and the sea air probably makes them smell great! Great photos.
Happy Sunday!
I have never seen washing carpet. In Texas we have it cleaned. I need to just get some new.
That’s an intriguing sight – all those carpets enjoying a water view! A great line up of shadows!
That’s a lot of rugs!
Come see my shadow
Would you be willing to show us the dirty carpet shadows as well? 🙂
Love it!
The sea breezes give the now clean carpets a fresh scent, reminding us of the summer as they keep the cold floors a little bit warmer in the winter – that hint of warmer days helps to warm our hearts a bit on those cold days…
What a fun, colorful shadow shot for the day!! Great place for shampooing the carpets! Enjoy your weekend!!
Tuo matonpesujuttu on yksi asia mitä kaipaan Suomesta.Sitä oli sekä kiva nähdä että kokea.Aina kun kerron tuosta perinteestä ihmiset hämmästyvät-
very cool. i have a lot of carpets that could use cleaning!!! have a wonderful weekend!!!! xx
Mattopyykki on monelle kesän kohokohta! 🙂
