weekend photos #4
Snow might look beautiful…
but now we have more than enough snow in Helsinki, again.
It’s difficult to walk, drive…roads are slippery under the snow.
Imagine old people whose balance and walking abilities are not that good anymore, sigh.
This part of the pavement looks okay – to park a car…
Our friends from Sweden are coming to visit this weekend.
I’ll visit your blogs late Sunday evening!
Have a relaxing weekend!

Ohhh you have had so much snow! A real winter! We are now under a cold spell and it snowed a little two nights ago, but nothing to get too excited about. The good thing (for some, that is) is that the canals and waterways are freezing up and people can actually (and finally!) go ice-skating, a favourite winter activity among the Dutch.
But up to three days ago, this was a very unusual winter with temperatures around 6/8 degrees…
Enjoy your friends’ visit!
Beautiful shots, the first picture is a great capture 🙂
Hello Miss Helsinki…
I absolutely recognize your sorroundings. It is exactly as I have.
But capturing those beautiful shots? You rock, mate?
Hope you had a great w/end and a wonderful week to come.
Hugs,
/chie
I tried to leave a comment on your blog but no luck. Please change your comment option to URL, thanks!
Looks like everyone has to bundle up ! Snow is fun but too much is risky!
I hope your winter is not too long and that you get a thaw soon. In fact, feel free to send some snow our way. WE LOVE IT! Of course, we rarely get any. Love the berry photo!
We have a lot of sun in the mountains near Denver. But in town it’s warm and we have very little. Love your shots, especially the first one.
I really love that last shot. If my car where covered with so much snow, I think I would just leave it there.
Nice photos, especially I like the last one.
Regards and best wishes
nice…. snow on snowberries! 🙂
The winter is here. Let’s rock. Great shots.
HI EVERYBODY and THANK YOU for your comments!
We had a lovely weekend with our friends and now they are on their way back home.
Now I’ll take some time to visit your blogs.
If I don’t visit your blog today I’ll do it tomorrow after my painting lessons.
Have a great week ahead!
Snow is a very pretty sight when you do not have to get out in it. We do not have that problem in Texas
Wow. Snow IS pretty. But it is a lot of work to shovel it, no? Very nice, BLOGitse!
That is quite some snow… so far we have managed to get through a whole winter with out any…. the key words being, so far….
Have a lovely weekend

Send a bit of it our way – – – here in central Wisconsin we still have far less snow and far warmer temperatures than are NORMAL for this time of year.
Here in SC we only get snow once in 10 years or so… I’ve also lived in Northern Ontario where they get too much snow, so I understand your pain…
We also have it .. lot of snow..but let me tell you a secret.. i love snow so i’m glad that we are still having it 🙂 Have a great day and a great next week!
Snow is always beautiful until you have to shovel it…
I do love how it makes the world look for clean and crisp.
I love looking at snow pics.. so beautiful. But i cant even imagine the pain of parking, clearing the snow, and working in it is. yikes!
That is a lot of snow! I like seeing photos of the white stuff, but I really don’t like the cold.
Beautifully composed shots!
That is way too much snow!! When I tell the germans here that I am glad that there isn’t too much snow, they get very offended. For an Indian, it’s very very hard to walk and do all things normal in snow. I feel like a very old grandma in snow…:D
nice snow…..and could be more than that….Have a nice day!
That looks so cold! Love the first shot.
In behalf of Gemma and Magical Mystical Teacher, I thank you for playing Shadow Shot Sunday 2. –
Rose, have a great weekend.
Yes it does look pretty, but sadly many will need to stay indoors for quite awhile.
Always love the colorful signs you have. Stands out prominently against the white and gray!
Enjoy your visit.
Amazing how the snow collects on the signs and seems determined to shape its own art there! So many piles of snow are amazing! I just can’t imagine having to struggle with that each day! But it looks fascinating! And love the mystery of your shadow in the second photo! It seems like a macro of fuzzy rope!
What is Snow? SC doesn’t get much! Beautiful shots!
Enjoyed it very much!

That is one really cool shadow shot! Love the snow pictures as well ~ we don’t have snow like that….it comes, then melts & starts all over again!
i would much rather have the snow…then when it’s winter and it rains. january 23rd we had actual rattle the house thunder and lightening rainstorm. it was crazy!! LOVE the first shot. and the last, which appears to be a piece of paper. ENJOY your company!!
Enjoy your snow! (What else can you do?)
What? Snow in Helsinki? It was about time, but warmer days in January are always appreciated in this snowy season! Although it looks like the BMW is actually parked on a sidewalk…where to put all that plowed snow??
Snow like that just boggles my mind! We rarely get snow around here. Your shadow shot is quite interesting this week, too. I had to stare at it awhile to get my bearings.
Snow makes such a clean slate for shadows to show up on. I’ve got some Peter Pan shadow flyboys at my place.
I do love the first shot in particular, looks like a little snowy creature in cradle hanging from the tree! It does look cold though and I’ve had enough cold! Have a great weekend and enjoy your friends!

Hi Blogitse! Sorry for the delay; Happy New Year!
Too freezy for me… 😉
Blogtrotter Two is leaving Corsica, finally… ;). Enjoy and have a great year ahead!!!
I’ve had enough! Snow, everywhere, snow…. yak!
Toivottavasti se pysyy helmikuun loppuun asti kun tulen luokkakokoukseen.
Lumi on kyllä kaunista! Viime vuonna oli niin ikävä lumiseen Helsinkiin, että tulin sinne helmikuussa,ja totesin, että vaikeaa on kävellä….
