home made shusi by BLOGitse
I creased aluminum foil…
and played with it…
This is the same as the first one…I have a zillion versions of that shot now 🙂
This was shot a couple of days ago. Today we have and will have more snow –
it’s snowing right now!

Oh Wow!!! Looks like all our snow has moved to your part of the world!!
You’re right! and more coming!!!
I’ve never made my own sushi. How amazing what you can make with foil. I also keep remembering you in Casa and Egypt before and keep thinking, “I wonder is she misses the weather or is she happier in Finland?”
I like to play with light and different textures…
‘If I miss the weather, am I happy’…oh boy. Spring and summer no problem. But now when it’s snowing and right now minus degrees, I do miss warmer weather.
Happier? This autumn I’ve noticed that I’m lonelier than before moving to Egypt. But that’s the price I have to pay if not a working woman.
I might feel rootless rest of my life…
I miss people but I’m happy with my hobbies and studying art…can’t wait our friends from Sweden visiting Helsinki this weekend…
as always, gorgeous photos! 🙂 I’ve never tasted sushi.
Thank you! Sushi is yummy and healthy!
Oh my goodness. Now I really, really, REALLY want some sushi!
Let me know when you arrive – my home made sushi will be served! 🙂
Way to get creative with foil. I love it.
Foil, oil, soil…rhyme rocks 🙂
Great pics and link between the four — very clever!
Happy Sunday!
🙂
Traci
Clever – thank you…sometimes it’s hard to find a link in English… 🙂
Have a good week ahead!
looks delicious
Life is! 🙂
Lovely Sunday ..a Sunday for imagination and art 🙂 Enjoy it at the best !
Thanks, it’s been a good day today! 🙂
I have never been a big fan of winter. I think it is because it is so many months of grey and dull in the UK and not enough crisp cold and snow. I never thought I would say this but the photographer in me wants it to snow.

You should fly over here – we have snow to shoot! 🙂
Cool stuffs…
Love the sushi, thing! I am asian but don’t make my own. Easier to order in our best sushi resto evah in Stockholm.
So, same weather here. Snowed last night and will be snowing more too. However, only -0deg though?
Hope you have a quite Sunday.
P.S.
Are you back in Helsinki now?
Hugs,
/CC
Yes, in Helsinki since spring my dear! 🙂
This Sunday has been good but very busy…
The snow shot is so pretty. A winter wonderland.
and a lot of work to dig our car under the snow! 🙂
very nie. congrat. great day
We’ve been busy today – paperwork, organizing etc. and voting – it’s a presidential election day today in Finland!
Those are all beautiful! I hope we get some snow this year…
I can send you some snow! We have enough to share 🙂
I cannot even begin to imagine what it would be like living all of those months with so much snow. Guess I would adjust…I rally do love the white stuff and I do not mind bundling up. I like cold better than hot. Your tree shot is gorgeous. genie
It’s easier when young or if you like to skate, ski…I’m planning to have a place to escape for winter months, in Spain.
Love the snow photo best! All cool shots though.
We have to go and dig our car under the snow…
The photos of crushed aluminium are so creative! Lovely sense of subtle light and shadow! And your snowy scene seems to represent the heavy quiet in your outside world!
Snow makes outside world quieter and brighter. Happy Sunday!
That last shot of the trees and the blue lamp is splendiforous! Stay warm and dry!
🙂 it’s not a lamp. It’s a sign of a road or path for pedestrians 🙂
Not easy to walk because of the snow…
the blue in the woods is an amazing shot…love the contrast…it seems our season caught the snow bug as well. tho today, we are blessed with sun. and the sushi looks verrrryyy yummy.
Oh, it’s there too! The snow bug is very busy right now… 🙂
That looks like a sweet sushi, I bet it’s tasty.
Beautiful fresh, white snow.
Yes. it was tasty. Because I made it! 🙂
There may not be any bike riders today!
Beautiful shot!
Some people do even if there’s snow! They bike all year round. Not me. sigh. 🙂
Wonderful snowy shadow shots for the day! I’m surely missing the sun in Seattle this week and I’ve had enough snow here in Seattle — the whole city nearly shuts down because it’s so unusual to have snow like we’ve had this year! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
Sylvia
Even if we’re use to snow it takes time to clean the streets, pavements…”Sun, where are you?”
It is snowing here today – snow may be pretty, but its monochrome can get boring. So, the colorful sushi is perfect as we live inside during the weather. A beautiful season, indoors or out!
Ralph, I do miss sun a lot! One positive point: it’s brighter outside… 🙂
Believe it or not, I’ve never eaten Sushi! Your snow makes me cold just to look at it. Our winter has been unseasonably warm – we got in the 70sF yesterday! (around 22C)
Never?! I looooove sushi. We eat fish two, three times a week…
Please do enjoy your snow, while I enjoy my sunshine! 🙂
BOOKISH SHADOWS
Shadow, shadow in my path,
You are not the Grapes of Wrath;
And yet when I hear your hums,
Something Wicked This Way Comes!
May your darkness turn to light
Like The House of Mirth, all right?
May all sadness drift away—
Send Lolita here to play!

No, no, I LOVE sun, not snow! 🙂
The frost looks nice – no snow here as yet but lots of rain and heavy winds at the moment.
We’ve had lots of rain – the autumn was ‘warm’ and long…now it’s winter out there. dot. sigh.
Ihana tuo lumikuva, saa minut hieman jopa kaipaamaan lunta!
