creative madness…

photos of the weekend #48 / creative madness

I love music, art, theater, dance…

This autumn has been inspiring. I’ve learned a lot about painting, colors and different mediums.

I like acrylic paints, watercolors, Chinese ink and galligraphy brushes are also interesting.

Or acrylic crayons. Add a drop of water and the picture is totally different!

wow, I’m having fun!

What have you created lately?

  1. I love trying new things, and it looks like you do, too. I have dabbled with painting, but turned to the camera and to designing my lap quilts. Love all of your experimentation with the acrylics and Chinese ink (I had not heard of it before). The colors are vivid in some shots and then muted and mingling in other. The shadow shots are awesome. This is a fascinating post full of things to make one think creatively. genie

  2. Uh, sitä on vallan unohtanut kuinka pimeää siellä oikeasti on. Mutta loistavasti korjattu puute väreillä, maalaaminen saa unohtamaan kaiken muun. Tykkään töistä, joissa kiinanmustetta on taitavasti sekoitettu vesiväreihin, aasialaiset hallitsevat sen homman uskomattoman hienosti.

  3. Your funny… wish the sun shines crispier that ever now that we have rain/snow/wind & storm…

    OMG, darkness is killing me & my cold allergy.

    Hope your enjoying your work and the beautiful city of Helsinki.

  4. I will never complain about the lack of light down here this winter, Neatly captured, it now looks cold there!

    All of yoyr edits are great, the textures and colors bold and stylish. I need to create something…

  5. I remember being in Northern Ireland in December several years ago. It was still dark–pitch dark!–at 9 a.m.! Your photos tell me that the darkness in Finland in December is even more profound than Northern Ireland’s!

    EVERYWHERE SHADOWS

    Shadows above and shadows below,
    Shadows that blaze and shadows that glow;
    Shadows outside and shadows indoors,
    Shadows on trees and shadows on floors;
    Everywhere shadows calling my name,
    Everywhere shadows no one can tame.
