photos of the weekend #43 / macro week and hey! hey or grass?
makroviikko/macro week challenge #31
teema/theme: lämmin / warm
This is a detail of my acrylic painting base… Akryylimaalauspohjan yksityiskohta…
Hey! is this hey or grass or what? I shot this plant while walking by the seashore…
Mikä kasvi tämä on? Huojuu tuulessa mukavasti meren rannalla…
I played with colors and now the plant looks totally different…
Have a relaxing weekend!

On the East Coast of the U.S., I believe plants like these would be called sea oats.
SHADOW SHOW
Shadows creeping through the land,
Shadows dark on every hand—
If they should begin to glow,
You had better run, you know!

The original photo of the grasses is as gray as the Finnish winter – so the colorful edits allow the brilliance of the warmer weather. Bold and warm, I hope you have as mild a winter as possible, snow for us tonight – in October in southern Connecticut? I guess the Finns are a bit tougher as it concerns winter weather

A very interesting take on the b/w macro shots of ‘grass’ and switch to
colour!

I don’t know what it is, but it’s gorgeous in black and white.

Don’t you love experimenting with the colors? I think it is such fun. My Sunday Bridge post for tomorrow is just like this…an experiment. When I look at those tall grasses all I think of is ITCH! I am so allergic to the stuff. Love to look at it, but walking through it is an absolute NO-NO! Great post. Love the series. genie

The colours seem to define their own shadow depths! The russet gold one has a magical atmosphere! Lovely images of your artwork!

Considering I’m hundreds of miles from the shore I really have no idea, but it’s nothing like the bales of hay our cows eat. I’d call it grass.
Love all the variations on it you did!

Hi Blogitse! Sorry for the absence, but these last two months have been nasty! My mother (90) was in hospital for more than three weeks and the post-surgery was hard! My father (94) seemed to be orphan while my mother was out and felt into some kind of depression… The economy is a disaster and the media only bring bad news… The € Euro is rescued every day, only to be known that it needs to be rescued again and again… What else? Well, maybe «Midnight in Paris»… The problem is that the Gil there is a different one…
Fabulous pictures!!
