photos of the weekend #15 / Aussie bar in Helsinki, the sea is almost free of ice
Finally it’s here too – spring!
I noticed we have an Aussie bar in Helsinki.
See the shadows…
These were shot last Saturday – I wonder when that dirty snow is totally gone…
The sea is almost free of ice.
Nordic walking
Isn’t this nice…

I love the “Nordic walking” photo. Nice shot.

I can imagine how happy you feel when you see the green grass after all that snow. Wow, and I complain when we have a bit down here.
We are now enjoying sunny and beautiful days in Fuerteventura…

Rocio, we have a very beautiful spring morning right now in Helsinki!
Three months to go and I’m there, hope not to see that snow then.
I’ll let you know what the situation is then!
Terrific shadow shots for the day! I’m sure you’ll be glad be rid of the snow and cold though! Hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy!

Wait, wait! I still see patches of snow! And it’s spring???
SOME SAY THAT SHADOWS
Some say that shadows are fragments of light,
Others that they are but pieces of night,
Fleeing like demons when dawn becomes day,
Fearing the radiance coming their way.
Is one notion wrong and one notion right?
Just what are shadows if they are not light?

Beautiful shots, but, oh! Shiver me timbers…a frozen sea? The pile of dirty snow? I really am spoiled living where I do.

I feel like resting in the sun too! Fortunately we had a restful and sunny day here too, I hope the sun and quiet days stay around a little longer.
The Aussie Bar looks interesting, but nothing like the bars I know! Did you actually go inside?

We still have a few dirty piles of snow, otherwise ours is gone. BUT – - – it snowed off and on all day yesterday. Fortunately, April snow doesn’t last here.

Great photos, as always…I especially like the one with the man walking in the walkway, with his p-coat on…it’s just so familiar to me [being a Navy wife].

Well, our snow storm was short lived, as we knew it would be, but brrrr, it’s still quite cold outside. You still have plenty of snow to go around, I know all to well the anxiety of wanting the green grass and leaves on the trees…SOON…!
We have sun today, hope you do as well…ENJOY!!!

What a fantastic series of photos – I’m curious about what looks like weights that are sitting on the ice. Is that like a marker for thin ice?
